Playstation 2: Another Century's Episode

Super Robot Taisen / Wars plays well on recreating a stories with Gundams, Macross and Super Robots (Voltes V, Mazinger, Daimos fans), meeting in one game. To battle their opponents is a cool idea to

Another Century's Episode (アナザーセンチュリーズエピソード in Japanese) is an action 3D game developed by From Software and published by Banpresto, released in Japan in 2005. Selected aces from different mecha series were here specially the Gundam Wing Mobile Suit. Maybe the game was named "ACE" due to the selected mecha aces. ACE is somehow Super Robot Taisen's 3D equivalent.

Gameplay

First thing to remember, Japanese PS2 games uses Circle (Circle) to confirm and Cross (Cross) to cancel.

From the Main Menu select FREE MISSIONS with Circle. To Unlock FREE MISSIONS. You can obtain a save from the internet and transfer it on your Memory Card using ulaunchelf.

When you're already on the FREE MISSIONS, on the left of the screen and there are menus, select OPTIONS and there, set the Controller to セミオート (Semi-auto) as shown.

Change to セミオート (Semi-auto) the Controller
Then press Cross to go back to the FREE MISSIONS. Then press Circle on the SELECT UNIT option.

FREE MISSIONS Main Screen

The SELECT UNIT features most of Gundam Wing's ACEs mobile suits. It also features Nu Gundam, Sazabi from Char's Counter Attack, Zeta Gundam, Hyaku Shiki from Z Gundam.

Then select MISSIONS by pressing Circle. Its the same with SELECT UNIT so I leave this part to you.

Then you are ready to launch. Press Circle to select LAUNCH.

The controls are:

Left Analog = Maneuver
Right Analog = Camera (inverted)

Circle = Sub weapon
Cross = Use boosters
Triangle = Target lock-on. Pressing again will switch targets
Square = Main Weapon
L1 = Other Weapon 1
L2 = Other Weapon 2
R1 = Raises MS Up
R2 = Lowers MS Down
L3+R3 = Special Ability

With a cute operator Ruri from Nadesico

Have you played flight simulator games before? Maneuvering a mobile suit in ACE feels like your flying a jet but in a mobile suit sense. Whenever I used boost X together by slowly pressing R1 or R2, I feel the smoothness of the flight! The sound is perfect and will make you feel the pilot of the mobile suit. A worth collecting game.

Otadex / オタ図鑑/オタデックス?

Maybe you tripped over a rock and happen to land on this blog. Anyway thank you. Many of you are familiar with Pikachu Bulbasaur Charmander Squirtle I assume that you at least heard the term "Pokedex" in Pokemon.

Mew (Pokemon Green Version)

For those who are unfamiliar, Pokedex, ポケモン図鑑(ポケモンずかん, Pokemon Zukan)is a device developed by Professor Oak and used by Pokemon Trainers to analyze and register Pokemon's elemental type, its characteristics, abilities, etc.

The point of this site is very much like the Pokedex, I named the site "Otadex" in which "Ota" stands for "Otaku " and "dex" borrowed from the term in Pokedex.. And about "Rare Pokemons". Many of you remember Mew, Celebi and others. All of those who played Generation 1 and 2 Pokemon Games in Gameboy knows the feeling when you have those "Rare Pokemons".  So the point is to discover those rare, Japanese stuffs, especially games that received a little or no attention at all to the English-speaking world.

おたのしみに!またね!
